Simone Alise, Clarinet

Simone Monroe is a multi-instrumentalist who received her Bachelor of Music Performance Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, with an instrumental concentration in clarinet. She received her Master of Music Degree in Instrumental Performance at the Frost School of Music and the University of Miami where she served as Teaching Assistant to Dr. Margaret Donaghue and was awarded the distinguished honor of being a Henry Mancini Institute Fellow.
Simone has performed with renowned artists such as Jon Batiste, John Daversa, and HAVASI, and performs regularly with orchestras across the state of Georgia where she currently resides. These orchestras include the Augusta Symphony Orchestra, Rome Symphony Orchestra, Savannah Philharmonic, and the Atlanta Pops Orchestra. In addition, she remains passionate in redefining the role of classical instruments and the exploration of intertwining them into contemporary and other non-classical genres. When she is not performing or providing music instruction, you can find her salsa dancing, traveling, or at the hottest new restaurants!
