May 25, 2025Birthday song
Sheila was great to work with from the start of my crazy idea to the end of it. She was very helpful in helping me pick out just the right song. Sheila has an amazing voice and did a fantastic job on a new song that she had never sung before, Lenny Kravitz Happy birthday. I only had one request to embarrass the birthday boy in front of all his co work And she delivered!!! A 100%!! If you are wanting a unique gift for someone this is a great ideas and I would definitely book Sheila again. Thank you Sheila for everything you did for helping me make this birthday one to remember!

December 25, 2022Best Night Ever
She was the icing on the cake for me and my guest. Sheila, thanks for giving us so much fun. I love how you interacted with my family. They were not aware that we would have a singer, so you were a refreshing surprise. Some of the songs you sang brought back lovely memories for us. I'm so happy you were available to come bless me and my family for my 60th birthday. Thank You

May 2, 2021Wonderful visit to family (birthday) zoom call (online)
My Dad enjoys upbeat, romantic songs by Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, etc., so Star sang those songs for us (in a brief 15 minute "singing telegram" visit to our longer family call). Her beautiful songs (and warm chatting) uplifted us, so we highly recommend her for your online or live events!

What to expect
An audience member should be prepared to have a great time! Feel good songs that they can sing along to, done with integrity. I don't cheat on the music or the interaction with the crowd. I'm all over the spectrum, because I've never met a song that I couldn't find something to like about it. You name it, and I probably know it. Prepare to be wowed!!!
About
My name is Sheila "Star" Washington and I am a fantastic singer/performer! I love singing and I portray that to everyone who is under the sound of my voice. The fact that I enjoy singing is evident from the first song of the set to the last. I have spent many hours perfecting my craft, and although I am singing with tracks, you will never feel that this is not an "all the way live" show. I am comfortable with all genres of music, but most especially with Motown, Country and R&B. I love "old school" music, however, I make it my business to stay abreast of what's current. I give the same level of energy to every performance, whether at an assisted living community or a festival in the park. Having my own music set up makes me a very good choice when planning events, as I can get in and get out with minimal interruption to the activities around me. I have been featured by DJs as part of their show, being added in as a "Special Guest". They play my tracks, and I give the "live" performance feel. Additionally, I have had the pleasure of singing at many weddings, both during the ceremony as well as the reception. I am always age appropriate whenever I do a gig, and always check with the host/hostess to find out whether there is anything special they'd like to hear. Although I am a soloist, I can provide a live band complete with background singers if the venue calls for it. I am also available for band hire, if you have need of a strong, female lead vocalist. As I stated before, I have a wide range of songs and genres in my repertoire, and I am sure to get in and fit in! When you hire Sheila "Star", your event is Sure to Shine! I am willing to travel up to 75-100 miles.
