Shane O'Neill is a talented guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter born and raised in the Boston area. Although Shane came to music somewhat late in life, he has made up for lost time by writing and recording original music and playing regularly at Boston-area bars, clubs, and private events.
As a solo cover performer, Shane plays popular songs in genres including folk, soul, pop, rock, and reggae. Shane's primary goal as a performer is to keep the crowd smiling and singing along to songs they know and love.
Shane has released three albums of original music that blend his ideas of pop-rock, alt-country, and acoustic soul. You can find his albums on all the streaming services.

Shane was absolutely fantastic at my 40th birthday party! He played a great mix of music from Tom Petty and Jimmy Buffett to Sabrina Carpenter that kept everyone entertained, including my school-aged daughters. His performance added a perfect, laid-back vibe to the celebration, and his talent and versatility really impressed our guests. We would hire Shane again for another event and already had a friend say she would want his info for her next event as well. Highly recommend!

Shane O’Neil has a beautiful voice and a wonderful varied song list for a multi aged crowd of people. He kept the party going and was a delight. Everyone commented on what a great talent he was and how wonderful it was to have live entertainment at a house party. I’d definitely hire him again!!!

What to expect
I sing popular cover songs for 2-3 hours, with a balanced mix of upbeat and mid-tempo, classic and modern. Most of the time I stand, but I will sit on a stool in smaller, more intimate environments. My dress is casual but professional.
I try to keep things loose with the audience. I'll joke around between songs if it feels right. I do 45 mins on, 15 mins off and then play a full 60 minutes for the last set of the night.
I bring and set up my own gear - PA speaker and stand, mixer, pedals, mic and mic stand, acoustic guitar.
