When I went on Gig Salad I was looking for a female French singer that could perform Edit Piaf songs . . . the beautiful lady who came to perform at my husbands 90th birthday celebration went above and beyond what I had asked. She brought back a memory my husband had over 70 years ago as a young soldier with tears of fond rememberance, she enthralled an audience of over 150 guests as she sang Edith Piaf in french and continued to perform in other songs including italian. Shahrzad is by far one of the best performers I have had the pleasure of hiring and look forward to another opportunity to enjopy her amazing talent. So much appreciation and gratitude from our hearts. . .

Shahrzad Tavakol is a Persian Opera Singer, artist and a skilled lutheir. She graduated in Fine Arts, specialized in making musical instruments in 2003. Shortly after graduation, she was able to receive the best musical instrument award from 6th National Festival of Musical Instruments in 2004.
Shahrzad is known as the first woman making Harp in Iran’s history. After completing her training in Persian traditional music (by Mrs. Shahrzad Rezayat & Mrs. Fariba Davoodi), she started her classical music career as an opera singer (Soprano) in 2006. She studied voice under the supervision of some of the best well-known teachers such as Mrs. Ariazand, Dr. Scott Farthing, and Mrs. Dubravka Zubovic. Till today she has performed in more than 50 recitals and solo concerts in California and Iran, also she has received awards from California Music Studios, Dolce Music Academy, and American Prize (Opera competition).
She established her own music academy name “Shahrzad Music Academy”. In her academy she is coaching voice and some Persian Instruments. Moreover she is working on her original tracks and do performing in specific events.
