May 13, 2025This band is so refined and perfected without losing any feel or emotion. Tight, hard working, experienced, exciting. They are the absolute best at the 80’s! Great tunes and nice people. A must for any event.

Serious Nature debuted in 1986. Their set list consisted of New Wave, Rock, and Pop hits of that era. After trading labor for recording time at Take One Studios in Cleveland, Ohio, the band released two singles: “ResQ Me” and “Bombs Away”. Both songs charted on commercial (WMMS, 92Q, WNCX) and college radio.
They played out relentlessly as a cover band playing regionally at clubs such as the Agora, Phantasy, Spanky’s, Odeon, Cleveland Connection, and Silky’s. They also performed as an original band opening for national acts Was Not Was, Donnie Iris, and Beau Coup.
In 2020, Serious Nature converted its master tapes to digital and began the process of re-mixing and re-releasing their songs as singles on Spotify and iTunes. Their first live performance in 28 years was a sold-out show at the Winchester Music Tavern on April 17, 2022 for the Ben Caskey Memorial Scholarship Fund. That response led the band returning to the live circuit (Winchester, Pearl Road Tavern, Coda, Maple Grove, Backstage Bar, Bay Days, BayArts, Crocker Park, and Jimmy Bukkett's) performing synth-pop/rock tunes of the 80s: Roxy Music, David Bowie, Cameo, Elton John, Peter Gabriel, INXS, Simple Minds, T-Rex, Talking Heads, Robert Palmer, Lenny Kravitz, Level 42, The Cure, Hall & Oates, and Duran Duran, to name a few.
