Charming & Talented Singing Guitarist

"Second Chance Jukebox (aka Mark Jakusovszky) has performed for our art gallery's public events several times in 2025. He is a very popular and easy-to-work-with musician. Mark's repertoire runs the gamut from very contemporary rock to nostalgic, well-known oldies in both rock and folk music genres, and even classical hits. One night when Mark was out front, we set an all-time-high attendance record. Often, passersby happily sing along, and he enjoys interacting with the crowd too! With his musical training, his easy-going style, and his vocal range and ability, he is a very welcome musician/singer for all sorts of events" - Karen Standridge, Owner Gallery113

Great gig!

Mark performed for us a few weeks ago and just made it perfect! We gathered around the firepit, and Mark’s contribution made the party sing…..literally! We all chose songs from Mark’s playlist and sang along. There were great options for all ages and musical tastes and after a few hours, the party wound down, but we had barely scratched the surface of his song list. It was a fun time had by all and a great way to bring the group together. I would recommend Second Chance Jukebox for your next party or event!

What to expect

Second Chance Jukebox's mastermind is Mark (J) Jakusovszky, a seasoned musician whose passion for live performance shines through every note. With over 50 years of guitar experience and a lifetime of musical exploration, Mark has a unique ability to connect with audiences of all ages and backgrounds. To me, music is much more than just chords and lyrics; it’s an experience that evokes emotions and creates lasting memories. With a vast and eclectic repertoire that spans seven decades, I curate each performance to resonate with the crowd, ensuring that every song feels fresh and engaging. I draw listeners in with stage presence and a keen sense of timing, creating seamless transitions between classic hits and hidden gems. Whether a romantic ballad or an upbeat anthem, I distill and present the essence of each song, strongly and effortlessly imprinting it on every listener.

About

SUMMARY
I began playing guitar at 8 years old (over 50 years ago) determined to learn Stairway to Heaven even before getting “cowboy chords” under my belt. Since then, I have expanded my abilities and knowledge of guitar, singing, music theory, composition, and performance. I have experimented with many open tunings and have some unique pieces because of this openness. My musical career has taken a back seat to my full-time job until early 2025.

Set list

One of the best things about SECOND CHANCE JUKEBOX is my extensive and diverse repertoire. Let's face it; a one hour gig at a Senior Center will be different than a 3 hour set at a Bar, which would be different from a 2 1/2 hour set at a private or corporate event or wedding. My repertoire spans SEVEN DECADES and includes current Pop Hits, Classic Rock, Oldies/50s, Grunge, R&B and Funk. I can add more material by request as well and am always adding more great music.

I'll provide a basic setlist for your review, but feel free to contact me if you're looking for something different.
