Overview

I am an experienced Scottish Highland Dancer. I've been dancing for 28 years! I started at the age of 5 and danced competitively all over the world. My parents are from Scotland and dancing has been a beautiful part of my life. I represented the Eastern Region of the US 7 times through my teenage years and placed 3rd at nationals in the Highland Fling. I haven't competed in a while as I am now a busy mother, however I still love to perform for events such as Burns Suppers, weddings, and more!

What to expect

Welcome to an authentic Highland dance experience! When you book my performance, expect a captivating showcase of tradition and skill.

Attire: I arrive adorned in the full regalia of a Highland dancer, honoring the rich heritage of this art form.

Music Setup: I come equipped with speakers and require minimal assistance to set up or can seamlessly plug into available audio systems. Alternatively, I can arrange for a Highland dance literate bagpiper to complement the performance (would require an additional fee for highering a bagpiper).

Dance Repertoire: Prepare for a sequence of mesmerizing performances—I can delight your audience with up to three consecutive dances, each lasting approximately three minutes. Throughout the event, I am capable of delivering a total of six dances, spaced out for optimal engagement.

Intermissions: To maintain the quality of the performance, short breaks for water and costume changes may be necessary. These brief pauses ensure a seamless and polished show.

Narrative Element: As part of the experience, I can provide a verbal description accompanying each dance. This narrative adds depth, sharing the stories and cultural significance behind each captivating movement.

Tips for Success:
- The authenticity and richness of Highland dance and attire will be the highlight of your event.
- Flexibility in music setup, whether utilizing my own equipment or coordinating with a Highland dance literate bagpiper, ensures a tailored performance.
- Professionalism is paramount; brief breaks for costume changes and hydration maintain the high standard of the performance.

Booking my Highland dance performance ensures a memorable and culturally immersive event, leaving your audience enchanted by the tradition and elegance of this cherished art form.

Additional booking notes

Sound System: I require a speaker system compatible with a phone connection to play the music for my performance. Alternatively, I can arrange for a bagpiper at an additional fee, depending on their rates.

Microphone: For larger crowds, providing a microphone enhances the audience's experience, allowing clear communication during the performance.

Stage and Surface: While a wooden stage is preferred for its authenticity and resonance, I can perform on various surfaces, including grass. However, ensuring a stable and relatively flat area would be ideal for the best performance.
