Scott Porteous has spent the last year proving he’s Canada’s hardest-working comedian—because being the funniest just sounds exhausting. You may have seen him on Canada’s Got Talent as his chaotic alter ego, Herbert Henries—the world’s only Comedy Dangerist—or even in Reader’s Digest, where his complaints somehow made print. His style is rapid-fire and unpredictable, bouncing from dark to dad-worthy in seconds. As Herbert, he mixes stand-up, impressions, roasts, and outrageous “danger” with heavy audience interaction, turning every show into a one-of-a-kind experience. Whether it’s Scott or Herbert, you’re guaranteed fearless energy and sharp, unforgettable comedy.

Herbert is one of the most interactive comedians out there. He utilizes audience members for his act to assist him with a lot of his stunts. Herbert strives for all his performances not to just be a show but also an experience.
Herbert Henries is the only comedy dangerist in the world. Probably because he also invented it. Herbert performs acts of danger while simultaneously telling jokes. He's been around for less than a year and already he's left a huge mark. He recently performed in front of the judges of Canada's Got Talent and was told by Howie Mandel himself that he is "Winnipeg's greatest comedy export". Whether it be by his unique stunts, his solid jokes, or his awkward yet endearing personality. Herbert is definitely one of a kind.
He only needs an audience. He'll do the rest.
