Overview
Hello! I'm Sarah, a harpist in the Orange County/LA areas, currently studying Harp Performance at USC. I would be so honored to play at your events, whether they be dinners, weddings, memorials, anything! Much of my repertoire is classical (and some jazz), but I may surprise you with a familiar pop song or even part of a movie/Broadway soundtrack. Please let me know if there are any special song requests, I would be happy to learn them for you with prior notice :)
I have 15 years of piano training/experience as well and would love to play for you, if that may suit your needs or event better!

We had the absolute pleasure of having Sarah Hsiao as our harpist for the pre-ceremony portion of our wedding at the Nixon Presidential Library on June 21, 2025.
From the moment we first connected with her, Sarah was professional, graceful, and kind, a joy to work with. She communicated clearly throughout the planning process, arrived on time, and carried herself with elegance.
Her music was beautiful and added a serene and enchanting atmosphere to our pre- ceremony space. She plays with heart and skill, several guests commented on how much they loved hearing the harp as they arrived.
Sarah is not only exceptionally talented but also such a kind and lovely person to work with. We would hire her again and again without hesitation and feel fortunate to have had her as part of our wedding day.

About
Born and raised in Southern California, Sarah began playing the harp since the age of eleven with Mindy Ball. She was principal harpist of the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra for four years, during which she performed biannual concerts at the renowned Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa. She has also performed with legendary rock artists, such as Nancy Wilson, John Rzeznik, and Monte Pittman, in a benefit concert called From Classical To Rock.
Sarah is currently studying at University of Southern California with JoAnn Turovsky for her Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance.
Sarah also has 15 years of studying and performing piano, winning many awards at music festivals and completing the National Guild Audition for 10 years.
