FOR SARAH CENTENO, MUSIC HAS ALWAYS BEEN A STRONG PART OF HER LIFE AS WELL AS HER FAMILY’S LIVES.
Singing and dancing have always been in her blood, passed down from her jazz singer grandmother Mary Louise Centeno. Under the guidance of her father, Sarah has been actively utilizing her talents to pursue her music career as a vocalist since the age of eleven when she began entering talent competitions.
One particular competition that she entered was called the Our Part of Town talent show. During her first year of competition Sarah placed 1st overall winner in the twelve and under category. The following year, she once again competed in the same competition and performed the song "Are You Ready For A Miracle" by Patti Labelle and was once again awarded 1st place in the twelve and under category.
At the age of fifteen Sarah had the opportunity to travel to the state of Virginia to open for the world renowned band Switchfoot at the Boyscouts of America National Jamboree. Despite her relatively young age, Sarah gave a wonderful performance to a crowd of more than 85,000 people.
JUST ONE YEAR LATER SARAH RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE WORLD FAMOUS DAVID FOSTER AND THREE DAYS LATER SARAH WAS ON A PLANE TO LAS VEGAS WHERE SHE SANG, "I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU." ACCOMPANIED ON PIANO BY DAVID FOSTER.
On this same night night she also had the honor of opening for the late Donna Summers, Kenny Logins, Charice, and Ruben Studdard. Then at the age of seventeen Sarah once again added another highlight to her list of achievements when she traveled to Virginia along with her entire band to open up for the 3 Doors Down.
After more than 8 years of performing professionally, touring to several major cities and states such as New York, Houston, Austin, Dallas, Nashville, Virginia, and Las Vegas, Sarah is now working on new music for her upcoming album which will be released this Fall. Sarah is also proud of her recently released new single “Everytime” Ft. Robsta.
