Santa Dave

I will pose for photos with believers of all ages. You or your photographer will take the pictures. I will mingle and chat with guests, asking children what they hope to receive for Christmas. I can pass out presents that you provide. I can read a Christmas children's book or two. Let me know if there are other Santa related activities not mentioned here that you would be interested in me doing.

Santa Dave has always had a special place in his heart for Christmas. As a child he loved everything about it . . watching all the classic specials, imagining what it was really like at the North Pole, eating the special food his mom and grandmas would make, spending time with family and of course opening presents!

While in college, Santa Dave found himself waiting on the sidewalk for his fellow students in Romania. He had a long red beard and was wearing a green pointy felt hat. As some children who must have just been dismissed from school pass, giggles and the whispered words "Moș Crăciun" could be heard coming from the mouths of the youngsters. Santa Dave later learned that those words translated to "Old Man Christmas"!

Several years later, some children of his own came into the picture and he thoroughly enjoyed carrying on all the Christmas traditions he loved as a child with his own.

Now later in life Santa Dave became quite interested in the environment, growing his own food, being all natural, raising chickens. He started to see himself as a hippie so to speak and decided to grow his hair and beard out long to match this persona.

Well guess what?! That beard no longer grows out red but it comes in white as snow. He started to look less like a hippie and more like . . .well . .. SANTA! And people weren't afraid to tell him so. After enough "Santa" comments he figured there might be something there to pursue. A quick Google search got him connected to several real bearded Santa Facebook groups and he joined the New England Santa Society. With some guidance from his new Brethren in Red he found Cherry Hill Programs where he applied for his first Santa gig. They hired him on the spot during the interview for a weekend Santa and was assigned the Providence Place Mall in RI. Santa Dave spent all day each Saturday and Sunday bringing the magic to countless children (and adults) for the 6 weeks leading up to Christmas 2024. Now Santa Dave is looking forward to bringing the magic to YOUR event! 🎅🏻
