Sandy C is known for being able to sing all styles of music. At the age of four Sandy use to sing in the backyard to his neighbors. People would also come by on their lunch break from near by businesses to listen to him sing as well. Sam( Sandy C) would sit by the record player for hours . When he was three before he could read he would put marks on the 45 record labels to identify what songs were on each record. When Sandy turned ten years old his mother called Vinnie Lee guitar player from the band The Ramrods who had a number one international hit record Ghost Riders in the Sky. She asked if he would come over to hear her son sing to see if he had talent. He immediately recognized Sandy had star quality. He told his mother he wanted to have me join the band as a featured (link hidden) first job with the Ramrods was The Meadow Lands. I played outdoor to thirty thousand people. Got a record deal with Columbia Records and from there had the privilege to play as a head liner on the same stages as all the famous artists of that era. Since music is forever evolving I had to change with the times. I had a Vegas Show Band R&B/Disco back in the late 70’s.A funk band called Aer, the horn players previously worked for Joe Cocker. A rock band Orange Group and a Led Zeppelin tribute band known as Black Dog. We played Concert Halls all over over the Tristate area and the entire East & West Coast. My band Aer ( lead vocalist Sandy C.) was a 10 piece horn band. The Horn Section was formerly from Joe Cocker Band. The Conga Player was formerly from James Brown Band. Other artist that were in my past bands: Vinnie Cusano (Vinnie Vincent) guitar player for KISS. Scott Spray bass player for Edger Winter, Johnny Winter Band for 18 years was in my band Castle. Black Dog Led Zeppelin Tribute Band , Lead Vocalist Sandy (link hidden)ing a head liner vocalist in the 60-80’s and performing on stage with all famous artists of that era.
