What to expect

As a solo or duo, I can provide whatever you might need, be it atmospheric lounge style performances as a jazz duo, or if you are a looking for a more interactive performance, I have been performing in hotels for years and am very accustomed to playing popular hits or picking up last minute requests from the audience if we know them!

About

Sandra Bouza is a Toronto native, recently returned to her hometown after many years away. Her widely varied musical influences are evident in the music that she writes and especially in her improvisational performances.
Performing as a solo acoustic artist for many years, winning the first round of 2009 Guelph singer songwriter competition, she has also been involved in collaborations in blues, rock, jazz, folk, hip hop, soul, funk and electronica. Although she has performed from a very young age, being hired at ballrooms in Toronto at the age of 11, music and performance became particularly prominent in Sandra’s life while living in Scotland and performing in local bands. She also made regular solo appearances in local venues and on St Andrews local radio station StarFM.
Since moving back to Canada Sandra has been featured in several independent newspapers, including the Ryerson Free Press, the Mercurial and Urban Pie, CJSF Radio and collaborates with numerous local artists. She has been performing extensively over the past few years throughout North and West Africa and Europe in hotel lounges and nightclubs and recently returned to Toronto to begin recording her next album.
