Berk Agar (born April 23, 1986) is a guitarist, composer, educator and a producer. He was born in Izmir, Turkey. Berk moved to the United States in 2004 as an exchange student. In 2005, he started studying music theory and composition at Del Mar college. After graduating from Del Mar college in 2008, he attended to Texas A&M university and he earned his bachelor of music performance degree on Classical guitar. In 2009, he released “A New Beginning” album with his band mundo. In 2011, he released another album called “Oyun”. In the same year he got accepted to the University of Texas at San Antonio for his graduate studies. While he was studying his master’s degree, he taught three years in the String project as a lead teacher. He earned his masters of music performance degree in 2014, and He became an adjunct professor at the Palo Alto College. Berk Agar also teaches at the Northside music school and Institute of musical arts San Antonio and he performs in many different venues.
