Sam Robbins is a New England-based singer songwriter whose smooth, soulful and intriguing vocals evoke thoughts of artists far beyond his 19 years. His songs effortlessly blend pop melodies and folk philosophies. Coupled with stunning guitar work, Sam's music has been captivating and drawing in listeners from across New England and beyond. In 2014, Sam won the Music On and Up Grand Finale, a competition that attracts hundreds of performers from around the country each year. Previous finalists include Meghan Trainor in 2013. Sam’s performances include a range of upbeat full band numbers as well as intimate acoustic moments, playing both popular covers and thoughtful originals.
We hired Sam for our wedding in Georgetown, Maine, in June 2019.
He was wonderful to work with during the planning of our wedding: he carefully listened to our ideas around the music during the ceremony and the cocktail hour, and came up with great suggestions for the ceremony entrance, and added some songs to his portfolio by our request.
While he played acoustic guitar and sang some soft songs during the ceremony, he turned into an entertainer during the cocktail hour. He played a diverse selection of wonderful love songs, and animated our guests to turn in their wishes. Because of him our reception was a lot of fun.
We highly recommend Sam Robbins for Weddings and other kind of events.
