August 6, 2026Unforgettable performance for my father’s 90th birthday!
Sam Giraldo and his incredible upright bassist made my father’s 90th birthday celebration truly unforgettable! The music was absolutely fantastic, creating the perfect atmosphere for such a special occasion. From beginning to end, they were exceptionally professional, accommodating, and attentive, going above and beyond to meet all our needs and requests. On top of being outstanding musicians, they were incredibly warm, friendly, and wonderful to work with. You can't go wrong with Sam Giraldo and his band: they'll elevate any event and make it truly memorable. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

About
Sam Giraldo is a Montreal-based jazz guitarist, composer, and bandleader whose music is rooted in tradition yet driven by innovation. Deeply inspired by the timeless artistry of John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, and Sonny Stitt, Sam brings a voice that is both grounded in the bebop and post-bop traditions and unafraid to push their boundaries. He is quickly building experience through frequent performances across Montreal’s jazz scene, both as a bandleader and a sideman.
Currently a student at McGill University’s Schulich School of Music, one of Canada’s leading institutions for jazz education. In 2024, his work was recognized with the Student Composers Prize at Montreal’s Oddsound Festival — an award that highlights his emerging talent, musical maturity, and distinctive voice as a composer.
