Sam Brown with Hearts on Fire

Sam and her band bring a lot of energy, skill, and a wide breadth of genres to their shows. Each gig is specialized- from playing honky tonks and neighborhood bars to private parties. Sam and Hearts on Fire can also specialize any gig- if the clients want all out country, we offer line dance and two step classes in conjunction with a full band. We've also done all soul shows and tributes, and currently run a Sheryl Crow tribute show that plays in and around Manhattan. Music aside, we are a friendly and high energy group of performers who like to have the audience feel included as much or as little as they'd like, and often take requests on the spot.

Sam is a lifelong singer, songwriter, everything else writer, comedian, and actor in New Jersey/New York. She released her debut album in January of 2017, and is currently working on her next release. She regularly sings with Joe McGinty’s Losers Lounge, Scotch Bonnet, and plays solo acoustic shows. Her love of old country, soul, and comes through in her songwriting and set lists.

Sam also fronts Hearts on Fire, who plays anything from country to soul to pop. Their specialty is catering to any audience and acommodate any client requests. Currently you can see them in and around NYC, including at private parties, corporate events, and weddings.

We provide a PA, guitar and bass amps, and full drum kits. We are also able to provide a keyboard player, pedal steel, banjo, lap steel, brass, strings, and mandolin depending on the event. Staging is malleable, though we would require at least a 10x12' space (or more if more instrumentation is required). We can bring a PA, mics, etc., but are always happy to use equipment that may already be at the venue.
