Sadiq Zahir — Author & Speaker

Sadiq Zahir walked out of a Virginia prison on May 28, 2025 and published his first book five months later. Born a twin whose brother died the day they were born, he turned grief, addiction, and incarceration into three books — the memoir 'The Strength of the Surviving Twin,' the children's book 'But Grandma Saw Him,' and the peer workbook 'Hold the Mirror.' Founder of Sadiq Zahir Speaks, he leads men's accountability circles and mentors youth in local schools. Invited by the Virginia Department of Corrections to address a reentry commencement, he speaks to schools, churches, recovery programs, and employers on recovery, reentry, grief, fatherhood, and second chances.
