About

Saddle Brown is an American Country singer, songwriter and performer who grew up in the quaint town of Lincolnton, near Charlotte NC. His first musical influence came from his mother, a church choir director, with whom he started singing at the young age of 5, He discovered his personal musical talent at the age of 7, when he started writing and singing renditions of popular songs; one of his favorites, Elvira. It wasn't long before Saddle Brown wrote his first song, at the age of 11, influenced by adolescent innocence, Love Find Me. By the age of 17, after writing several songs and no longer looking at his talent as a hobby, Saddle began pursuing his music career, making his first public appearance at Coyote Joes karaoke/open mic night. As his music venture continued, he became a regular in the house band at Yesteryears of Charlotte. He also appeared several times as a special guest on the Ken Linker Variety Televised Showcase.

Through the years, Saddle has continued to boost his career with competitions, live performances, radio broadcasts, and news interviews. However, the past year validates Saddle's dedication, and hard work, beginning with the release of his single, Look Around the House, on iTunes. Continuing with the launch of his then recent single, November 5th, 2012 marked the radio debut of Saddle’s music, during an interview with Big Dawg on 92.1 FM. Four days later his first official music video for "Look Around the House" was released. Due to the overwhelming response of his radio interview, Saddle was invited to share the stage with some of country music's finest including, Confederate Railroad and Jason Michael Carroll, in the 1st Annual Foothills Outlaw Country Shootout at the American Legion Fairgrounds, Hickory NC, May 2013.

More recently, Saddle has been awarded a musical clip in the film, Blue Caprice which is an American independent drama directed by Alexandre Moors, that recounts the story of an abandoned boy who is lured to America and drawn into the shadow of a dangerous father figure, inspired by the real life events that led to the 2002 'Beltway Sniper' attacks. It should be no surprise, with all the accomplishments within the past year, that Saddle is also the proud recipient of the 2013 & 2014 Queen City Awards - Male Country Artist of the Year!!

When asked, why Saddle chose to start singing country music, he has a simple genuine response, "I grew up in the south, and didn't realize what I was writing fell under the country genre. I just write and sing the songs that I feel, and it helps that I have a southern drawl."
