Overview

Singer-songwriter of semi-autobiographical acoustic folk. I do original and cover songs in the vein of John Prine, Todd Snider, Jeff Tweedy, Ryan Adams, Townes Van Zant, Bruce Springsteen, etc. I am a story-teller at heart and so I weave stories into songs and I tell stories from time to time in between. Some songs are serious, some are funny, some are witty, and some are just ramblings with a guitar and possibly a harmonica. I have my own equipment and I am low maintenance and professional. Great for coffee houses, restaurants, fairs, charity runs, etc. I have a family friendly set and well over 5 hours of music for any occasion.

What to expect

An audience member should expect a full night of music and casual conversation. I am good enough to keep your attention and keep you interested so that you stay longer than you anticipated. There will be a song or two that you will recognize and several original songs that you will find creative or interested. You will hear songs that are stories, either person stories about me or characters that are created but share commonalities with everyday life. I sing about the people who work their way through life trying to get on top, but don't quite seem to make it, but they still have hope. There is a lot of optimism in my music.

As a client, you will see someone who is professional and good at reading audiences. I will be able to tailor my set to fit the needs of the establishment. I know my job is to keep the audience in your establishment and that is what I do.

About

I have been playing guitar for over 20 years and have performed in various groups and settings for the last 15 years. Currently I am in a rock band, an Americana folk duo, my solo project and I regularly play guitar with a church ensemble. I also play mandolin, banjo, and harmonica. I have years of experience in front of people on stage and various performances. I am at home in front of a crowd.

Additional booking notes

I have my own mini-pa system and can serve myself. I just need an electrical outlet.
