Russ Maddox One Man Band

Overview

Russ Maddox, with his One-Man Band, is Los Angeles, CA's most unique and versatile performer. He covers a wide variety of hits from all the favorite genres.

The instrument Russ plays is called The Zendrum. In addition to the traditional drum sounds, other parts of the music can be triggered as well. So, his solo performance can provide the same full-band sound and recreation of music that would typically require a large band.

"I want to offer a full band sound in venues that normally could not accommodate a band. Additionally, I can play private functions like wedding receptions and corporate parties and offer the full sound and personality of a band," says Russ.

About

Russ Maddox’s musical journey began in the vibrant world of local bands, where he honed his skills as a drummer and vocalist for many years. Each performance in these early days laid the foundation for his passion and ambition to create something truly distinctive in the music scene.

In 2015, after years of playing in various ensembles, Russ decided to step into the spotlight as a solo artist. This pivotal moment marked the birth of Russ Maddox One Man Band. He sought to innovate the live music experience, aiming to captivate audiences with the energy and sound of a full band, all while performing solo.

To realize this vision, Russ introduced the Zendrum into his act, an innovative electronic percussion instrument that allows him to play and trigger sounds in a way that feels organic and dynamic. This new setup transformed his performances, enabling him to deliver a diverse repertoire spanning rock, pop, dance, and country.

In 2017, Russ made waves in the local music scene, gaining recognition for his unique sound and engaging stage presence. He began booking more performances at weddings, corporate events, private parties, and nightclubs, attracting clients who appreciated his versatility and professionalism.
