Patrick Hysell, the leader and founder of Rush Street plays keyboards, guitar, bass and percussion while handling all musical arrangements, production and programming for the band. By the age of 12 he had performed at Soldier Field in Chicago with Leonard Bernstein, Bob Hope, Jimmy Rogers and Leo Carillo. By 17 he had performed at The Happy Medium, The International Amphitheater, The London House, The Whisky-a-Go Go, Aragon Ballroom (The Cheetah) opening for major acts and performers like Tommy James and the Shondells, James Garner, Dick Van Dyke, Elke Sommer, Angie Dickinson and Ethel Merman. He also worked with Ric Harper (of Kenny Rodgers fame) and the Riddles. Some of his groups included The Randells, Chicago's Own, Terry and the Pyrets, Ye Great Pumpkin, The Dimensions, Montego and Krayon. After being drafted into the Army, he continued his music and won many awards while performing for US troops at home and overseas. In later years he worked with The original Untouchables and teamed with the late Dan Birney of Head East fame to form Pitch and Boogie, opening for bands like REO Speedwagon and Blood, Sweat and Tears. From The Troubadour in Santa Monica, CA; to the Coconut Grove in the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles; to The Attic in Milwaukee; to State Fairs across the country; to nightclubs throughout the world, including performances on "Where The Action Is", Patrick has consistently brought to the public phenomenal entertainment and some of the greatest talent in the music business.
