I'm Rue Vega, an alt-pop singer/songwriter. I accompany myself on guitar or piano, and perform original music as well as a diverse repertoire of covers. I've been compared to artists including Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Alanis Morissette and Stevie Nicks. I'm passionate about music and the way that it brings people together, the way that good lyrics resonate with the listener, and the joy that it brings to any event.

I'm a solo performer, I sing and accompany myself on guitar or piano. I perform original songs and/or covers, my set list includes artists like Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Sara Bareilles, Norah Jones, Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks, etc. as well as some jazz standards. I can accommodate my set list based on your event, and can learn specific song requests ahead of time as well. I have performed events as long as 3-4 hours with breaks. If a piano or keyboard is provided at the venue, I can play piano as well as guitar.
Rue Vega isn’t the cool girl. A multi-instrumentalist singer songwriter who defies definition, she is making space for the outsiders- for the ones who spend the weekends alone instead of at parties, and whose crushes always seem to be unrequited and impossible. Her music pushes for rejecting the beauty standard; for reclaiming trauma and making it your strength. Blending the unashamed boldness of Billie Eilish, the messy honesty of Gracie Abrams, and the cinematic sparkle of Chappell Roan, Rue Vega is bulldozing her way into the pop scene.
