Overview
Ruby party band is a 6-piece band with male & female lead singers that specializes in Weddings, Private Parties, and Corporate Events, and is also available for wineries and festivals. We play in the San Francisco Bay Area, Napa Valley, Silicon Valley, Marin, and Tahoe and Reno. We feature the vocals of recording artists Andreea Keller and Philip Sullivan (who also acts as MC). Performers in the band are talented and experienced entertainers and musicians who have performed in 100 venues in Northern California over the last 15 years. We play dance songs from the 80's, 90's and 2000's -- across a range of rock, pop and R&B -- including dinner & cocktail music.

My wife and I went in search of an incredible wedding band and we found it with Ruby Wedding and Party Band. The whole team, from the lead singers to the sound and light techs, was amazing to work with. Every step of the way they were courteous, on top of the details, and available to hop on a Zoom or respond to an email with our venue and our wedding planner. They took it upon themselves to make sure power and sound were all taken care of *and* they even tried to make sure we had tenting for the outdoor wedding (it wasn't even their job) just to take a load off of our plate. I'd hire this band again and again, and, if they'll do it for our 5 or 10 year wedding anniversary. Thanks!

Ruby Band was an absolute blast at our wedding! Everyone loved the music, and the band kept the dance floor moving until we had to shut it down. They were a pleasure to work with. They provided flexible MC services that went above and beyond the standard wedding band. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for a party or wedding. You all rock! Thanks!!

What to Expect
The Ruby Band specializes in Weddings, Corporate Events, and exclusive Private Partiers. The players and singers in the Ruby band are first and foremost ... entertainers! We're a fun band that audiences have a lot of fun listening to, dancing to, and singing along with! Because of our experience we know how to plan and coordinate with hosts and event planners.
Our male lead singer/ guitarist Phillip Sullivan is Master of Ceremonies extraordinaire and has done 100's of weddings and private & corporate parties. He and the band are very experienced at filling seamlessly into your structured event, and will work closely with your event planner. We will of course assist with the music programming for the event, and even learn a few new songs just for your event that are not already on our song list.
We are completely self-contained, and bring professional sound equipment, lighting equipment, and a great look! We can even bring a portable stage and/or dance floor as an option. We generally do 50-55 minute sets, with 10-12 min. break between sets. If the event is a dinner or wedding, we can start with or intersperse dinner music that is softer and enables people to have conversations at their tables. We can also provide live acoustic background music at wedding ceremonies.
About
The 6-person Ruby band features the vocals of local recording artists Andreea Onica Keller; and Phillip Sullivan. Phillip was formerly of the recording artist band Flame which recorded two albums with Warner Brothers Giant Records. Andreea, originally from Romania, recorded and toured in Europe before coming to the U.S. The Ruby band is known for 3 things:
- Getting the audience out of their seats and onto the dance floor for longer than they knew they could!
- Outstanding vocals
- Song repertoire that focuses on the 25-50 yr old crowd, but still manages to delight all ages.
The players and singers in the band are talented and experienced entertainers and musicians who have performed in 150+ venues in Northern California over the last 15 years.
The Ruby band formed in order to focus on Weddings, Corporate Events, and Private Parties, and perform great songs focused in the 25-50 yr old age group. A unique feature about us besides the three mentioned above is the extraordinary Master of Ceremonies service provided by our male lead singer Phillip Sullivan.
We perform contemporary hit songs by Taylor Swift, Christini Perri, Ellie Goulding, Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, Amy Winehouse, Rhianna, Post Malone, Bruno Mars, Jonas Brothers, Sia, Lady Antebellum, Lady Gaga, American Authors, Pink, The Weeknd, OutKast, Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake, Jonas Brothers, Thomas Rhett, Darius Rucker, and others.
Our repertoire of '80's rock and R&B include hits by Gwen Steffani, Whitney Houston, Blondie, Michael Jackson, Prince, Bon Jovi, Journey, Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, Kool and the Gang, The Commodores, Van Morrison, Elton John, The Beach Boys, AC/DC, Guns'N'Roses, Def Leppard, The Eagles, and others.
During dinner and cocktail hour we have a very entertaining set that includes songs by Frank Sinatra, Etta James, Al Green, Christina Perri, Ed Sheeran, Bonnie Raitt, Patsy Cline, and Billie Holiday.
Additional Booking Notes
We are entirely self-sufficient as regards equipment and lighting. We just need two 20-amp circuits within 50 ft. of the stage area. The minimum size stage area we require is 16 ft. wide x 12 ft. deep.
