The whole band was very impressed with Reggie from the beginning of load in, through soundcheck and through the whole show. He was a stranger that zoned in like a brother of the Wesley Pruitt Band. We had the pleasure of having Reggie Sampson perform at a Birthday/Appreciation event for my Aunt, and his performance was nothing short of spectacular. Booked at the last minute as a surprise, Reggie proved to be the perfect choice for the evening.
From the moment he arrived, his professionalism was evident—punctual and personable, he immediately connected with the crowd. His setlist, featuring a blend of gospel and smooth jazz, resonated beautifully with the audience and set the perfect tone for the celebration. Influences and inspiration
I have always had a passion for music. It started in my early years listening to Grover Washington Jr. and Maceo Parker. Some of my more current influences are Kirk Whalum and Gerald Albright. I have found that these two saxophonists have helped shape my sound, approach, and technique regarding how I perform today.
