The band plays a wide variety of music from all over the region, ranging from delicate Hungarian folk songs to exuberant Gypsy tunes. The name is Hungarian for "Rose". Besides singing, the musicians are playing on guitar, accordion, ukulele, upright bass, and sometimes percussion instruments. Rozsa is located in New Paltz, NY, and plays music all over the Hudson Valley, the Catskills, New York City and nearby states.

We can make a set list for crazy dance parties as well as for sitting listeners.
Rozsa plays Gypsy / Romany and Hungarian music from East Europe. Rozsa came into existence in 2010. Since then it went through many changes. We performed all over the Hudson Valley, at event venues, festivals, clubs, radio shows, weddings, and parties. After a long break, Rozsa is back again with new and old members:

Carmen (ukulele, vocal)

We bring traditional Gypsy and Hungarian songs played in heart opening ways that will lift up anyone to feel joy, to cry, to laugh, and to dance.

We have our own equipment, we can use yours or just play acoustic as well. We usually need one guitar amp, 3 mics and mic stands, monitor and speakers.
Our set lists varies to accommodate the audience's need.
