Roy has been a "one man band" for most of his adult life. He played bass for Ike and Tina Turner during his early college days (before their famous split-up), and has played and sung (both on and off stage) with Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Hornsby, Tommy Castro, Delbert McClinton, Bruce Channel, and a few other nationally known recording artists.
He has performed a One-Man-Show in Las Vegas, and now specializes in private parties, wedding receptions, public corporate functions, restaurants, clubs, and community events. Roy can 'mix' enough different types of music during his sets to please everyone in the crowd. Roy is equally at home at YOUR private house party as he is on a concert stage.

Price Range: $250-1500
Gig Length: 60 - 300 minutes
For most solo performances, Roy uses a foot controlled Porch Bass and 'miked' Tambourine to add to his guitar and voice. His style of guitar playing lends itself to a full-sounding accompaniment without the use of pre-recorded tracks, and makes dancing along with the beat easy and fun.
40+ customer reviews of past performances can be viewed on Roy's Gigmasters web page <(link hidden);
In addition to pre-planned sets, Roy has a 375+ song list available for song request.
If requested, Roy will provide the guest with extra microphones and add a set of "sing along with Roy / live Karoke".
The customer can expect top quality equipment used for the gig.
Roy's PA sets range from small to large, and can create the correct sound volume to fill any space. Roy even has a battery operated PA set for locations where electricity is not available.
Roy started making music in his youth. During his early school years, he started singing, and played the accordion, trumpet, tuba, guitar, electric bass, and the upright string bass. He was invited to play string bass with the Oklahoma Youth Orchestra, and the Oklahoma University Lab Band and Symphony.
He played bass for Ike and Tina Turner during his early college days (before their famous split-up), and has played and sung with over a dozen small to large bands during his music career. Roy has also had the opportunity to sing and play both on and off stage with Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Hornsby, Tommy Castro, Delbert McClinton, Bruce Channel, Harlow Wilcox, Edgar Cruz, and a few other nationally known recording artists.
In addition to having a "normal" corporate career, Roy has been a "gigging" solo guitar player/singer for most of his adult life. He has performed a One-Man-Show in Las Vegas, and now specializes in private parties (house parties, pool parties, cocktail parties, family celebrations, anniversaries, birthdays, etc.), wedding receptions, public festivals, corporate functions, restaurants, clubs, and community events.
He has a very large musical repertoire, and covers most musical styles. He enjoys playing Folk, Blues, Old and New Country, Ballads, Folk/Rock, Soft Rock, Rockabilly, DooWops, Golden Oldies and Easy Listening music; and can 'mix' enough different types of music during his sets to please everyone in the crowd. Roy is equally at home at YOUR private house party as he is on a concert stage.
He has high quality instruments and PA sets that will handle any sized venue, from large halls and outdoor events to parties in private homes.
Roy is also a member of RetroActive, a "Rockin' Blues/DooWop Band". The band can be seen on this page doing Flip, Flop, & Fly, and heard playing Knockin' On Heavens Door and Long Black Train. The band can be booked on this Gigmasters page by asking Roy for a "Gig Bid" for the full 4 piece band.
Gig Contract is available from Roy.
