He communicated regularly, allowed us to send him songs from his song list that she liked so he could get an idea of what she wanted and was on time for the event. I play a very wide variety of material, from acoustic New Age (Acoustic Alchemy, Ottmar Liebert), smooth jazz (Larry Carlton, Ronny Jordan and George Benson), pop (Sting, Jack Johnson, John Mayer and James Taylor), rock (Kings Of Leon, Tom Petty, Vertical Horizon and ZZ Top), modern country (Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, Blake Shelton), classic country (George Strait, Garth Brooks, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson) as well as Texas dirt artists (Pat Green, Stoney Larue and Randy Rogers Band).
Since I am a full time guitar teacher and voice talent, audiences are often stunned to hear my performance sounds "just like the original recording." With my studio and custom backing tracks I record with real guitars, bass, mandolin, pedal steel as well as backing vocals, recorded by me ahead of time, I sound like a full band! Best of all, I can do all this with a performance area as small as 4 'X 6'. As long as I have that and some electricity, I'll do the rest.
In a typical 3-4 hour performance, I will play about one hour and take a break of less than 15 minutes. During the break, I can provide break music at a lower level than my show to help maintain the right atmosphere. I will then perform and break until the performance is completed. I often am asked to play another hour or even longer if the show is well received! I'm happy to do this unless I have another scheduled event back to back.

EXPERIENCE- I've been a solo performer more than 20 years, after working across the nation in bands before that. I bring all this professionalism to my solo shows. APPROACH- I have three different variations on my award winning show. First is simply acoustic guitar, nylon or steel string. This is terrific for weddings, funerals, etc where a client only needs soft background music or a significant song to be performed at just the right time. Second is the acoustic guitar and vocals, with or without backing tracks. Many clients like this approach and gives me the chance to sing as well as play guitar without being obtrusive. The third approach is with my electric guitar and custom tracks I create at my professional studio. I even do my own background vocals, just like recording artists making a record. Live, I perform the lead guitar and vocal with these custom tracks to sound better than a live band and many times just like the record. Watch the videos and see for yourself!
SPACE- While I can sound like an entire band, I only need an area of 4' X 6' with AC power nearby. I bring appropriately sized amplification and professional gear for audiences from 2 to 400. This means you can enjoy top flight live entertainment and still visit with clients, family and friends without shouting.

I need an area about 4' x 6' with standard 3 pin grounded 110 volt AC. An elevated stage is nice, but is not necessary. A separate area to change clothes is helpful, since I usually don't dress for the performance until the gear is assembled and ready to play. I don't drink alcohol or smoke, but appreciate water during the show. I enjoy eating on a break if that's not an imposition on the host or client.
