January 26, 2022Fabulous talent with a variety of music that suits any venue! I can customize my music interests for special occasions. Having a party outside around the pool or at a bbq-they are sure to please everyone. Fun dancing, singing along-they make the night, the day, a blast for friends, family and special audiences! I won't have a party without them! Come see them at the beach bars, they are especially responsive to their audience. I just love them! They don't ever disappoint!

January 25, 2022We hired Dave and his duo band for our Smack's Bayou Boat Parade outdoor event. He was incredibly professional and talented. He is patient too (we didn't have the stage set up completely; instead of complaining he helped to finish setting it up). He has a large variety of music, wonderful stage lighting, and great sound system.

Weddings: Any recorded music during the dinner & reception. I also can emcee as necessary. When it's time for dance we play live dance numbers as well as recorded DJ tracks. We also try to tailor the music to the age and musical interests of the audience. We will take requests but only from our song list, which is quite extensive.

Dave & Betz bring over 40 years of music experience to the stage and can deliver anything from electric oldies to a full on rock & blues band sound, spanning decades of popular music. Excellent act for any venue from private parties & weddings to restaurants & small clubs.
Parties & weddings are a favorite, and we can do a combination of live music, DJ tracks and live karaoke, depending upon the wishes of the client. Bose L1 stereo sound system ensures great sound at any volume level, while LED and laser lighting enhance the mood. Whatever the venue, you’ll be impressed by the variety of music and the power of the live performance.
We will provide sound system and lighting (if applicable) for our live performance. If location is to be outside it must be either a well covered and protected area, or an alternate inside area must be provided. Prefer to not face to the West. The decision of which location to use will be made at time of setup. We will need access to the venue at 1.5 to 2 hours before performance time for setup and sound check.

Guitarist / vocalist Dave Root has over 40 years of music experience and can deliver anything from an intimate mix of acoustic & electric oldies to a full rock & blues band sound, spanning decades of popular music. Dave’s musical influences began with the music of the Beatles and Rolling Stones where he learned basic guitar & vocal harmonies. In the late 60’s and early 70’s, the music of rock bands such as the Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, the Eagles, and ZZ Top further shaped Dave’s guitar style. Today Dave combines his old favorites with 2nd generation rock n’ roll greats like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the Stray Cats, Bonnie Raitt, and country rockers such as Dwight Yoakam, Garth Brooks and others to produce a performance that touches multiple genres and audience favorites.
Vocalist Betz Donahue (AKA Liz) also has a long musical background. My musical influences began with my dad, a self-taught guitarist and singer, and my mom who together on weekends would play guitar and sing in local pubs and events. Professional influences were Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt, Linda Ronstadt, Carole King, the Beatles and others. My style is very eclectic. After singing periodically on stage with friends since I was a teenager, I decided over the last 3 years to take it more seriously - joining up with professional guitarist/vocalist Dave Root and performing with him over the last 2.5 years.
