Roger Maier Comedy

I am a baby boomer so much of my comedy reflects on the challenges of growing older, raising kids, how dating has changed and the types of women I used to date. Some dad joke level stuff and mostly clean and non-offensive but still funny.

Roger Maier is a recently retired baby boomer who initially performed as a stand-up comedian in the early 1990's. In 1993 he was crowned El Paso's funniest. He then stepped away from comedy to focus on family and career but reentered the comedy world in the fall of 2025, performing at various open mics and paid gigs in an around El Paso and southern New Mexico. He was voted 3rd place in the 2026 El Paso's funniest competition. He has been in extra in multiple films, acted in plays and appeared in multiple locally produced commercials. Originally from the Chicago area, he has been in El Paso since 1988. He is married and has three grown children.

I prefer that the house have a microphone and PA system but if not available I can provide my gear suitable for small rooms/audiences - probably a small conference room, bar, etc. No added cost I would just need access to a power source and enough time to set up/test gear.
