Rockin' Memories was spectacular!

I arranged a surprise for my parents at their retirement community trailer park. They played in the drive way - socially distanced. They put on an awesome, non stop, high energy show which blew away my parents and their friends. Top quality keyboard and vocals!
Highly recommended! Thanks JJ

Fun, Great music and Arizona Attitude!!!

Loved your show at The Springs last weekend! Fun, friendly, humorous and touching! Great music -- great renditions of favorites from many decades! All with a touch of Arizona pzazz! Loved your cowboy hat with the Santa hat over it!!! ...plus, the "very Arizona" red sandals and toe nail polish, even in December!!! Enjoyable, fun, good music and attitude!!! Music was unsurpassed -- better even than some of the original singers!!! Wish you both the very best!

What to expect

Our audiences expect and GET a very informative and entertaining show! Our arrangements are very horn-driven and "Vegassy". Powerful and dynamic music and vocal performances. We call our music "Oh Yeah!" music. We succeed in bringing back great memories for our audiences who are old enough to remember all of these songs -- and we appeal greatly to the younger audiences as well because they hear REAL musicianship and REAL clean, clear powerful vocal work. I (Bruce) arrange and perform all of our music myself and I do so to fit Pam's vocal style and sound (Melody lines and phrasing, etc.). They just don't don't do it that way anymore and THAT's why we are constantly hearing from the younger audience members.

About

Pam Barker
The “Quintessential Entertainer” is the simplest, yet most complete way to describe this dynamic powerhouse known as Pam Barker. She’s an extremely versatile vocalist who knows how to capture her audiences’ attention, and never fails to give them a performance that leaves them hungry for more! This native Arizonan has a vast array of abilities that go even beyond her fantastic live shows. Pam is also an award-winning Patsy Cline impersonator, as well as a published recording artist, songwriter, veteran of video productions, and has been recognized for her contributions to Country and 50s & 60s music. To add even more to Pam‘s impressive list of accomplishments -- she received Arizona’s “Entertainer Of The Year” award, and won the title of “Country’s Hottest Hitter” for her Patsy Cline impersonation at the Reel Awards in Hollywood. The most appropriate way to sum it all up? A Pam Barker performance is an experience you will be very glad you had!

Bruce Rudolph
This Drummer / Keyboardist / Arranger / Composer is a well-schooled, well traveled...well...total musical experience that is not commonly found among the ranks. With almost 5 decades of experience at every level of the music business, this Minneapolis area native has worked with many artists over the years. Some you may recognize, such as The Diamonds (Little Darlin’ , The Stroll), Fabian (Turn Me Loose), Johnny Tillotson (Poetry In Motion, Send Me The Pillow That You Dream On), Williams & Ree (The Indian & The White Guy), Clark Terry (Legendary jazz Trumpet / Flugelhornist formerly with the “Tonight Show” orchestra), & pioneering Conga / Percussionist King Errisson (former Motown & West Coast session player, & veteran of the Neil Diamond band since 1976). Bruce also does arranging & scoring for film, video, & other artists (including some of the Miss Minnesota contestants of the past ) and produces radio commercials. He also produces CDs of himself and Pam. Their first one, “Pam Barker - With Love” was released in late 2003 - and their second CD "Rockin' Memories" was released in the Spring of 2006, and their 3rd & 4th CDs were released in 2010! Since then they have added MANY more arrangements of your favorite Classic! Bruce also has his own instrumental jazz CDs that feature his own compositions and his own unique arrangements of well-known tunes.

Set list

We play a little of a lot categorically speaking. We are a massive variety of Classic songs. Our set list is determined by the audience & type of event. We don't usually do a set list because we are spontaneous in our song decisions. We are a horn-driven Vegas-style sound. Powerful & very dynamic oriented. Absolutely NOT your typical Duo...PROMISE! Our background tracks are Arranged & Performed ONLY by me (Bruce Rudolph). I play every note. I do not employ other players. This is NOT programmed music. This is NOT Karaoke. This NOT store-bought. This is NOT ANY form of artificial music reproduction. Real Playing. Real Singing. We love to include our audiences. we do NOT just stand there & play like a live jukebox. We are engaging & FUN! EASY to work with! We are & always have been full-blown Pros. It's a living, NOT an "on the side" hobby. Check our bios! We both have extensive track records in the Music business with many well-known artists. We will NOT let you down!

Influences and inspiration

For Pam....artists such as Bobby Darin, Patsy Cline (Pam is a world-recognized Award Winning Patsy Cline impersonator, all though we don't that in our regular shows - only if hired for that. But we will do patsy songs, just not with the full impersonation effect), Wayne Newton, Karen Carpenter, Keely (no, NOT "Kelly"...) Smith (with Louie Prima), Joe Feeney, Jack Jones, Dusty Springfield...that list can go on for ever...
For Bruce...Arrangers like Don Vincent (he was Wayne Newton's Conductor/Arranger for many years), Barry Manilow (as an Arranger), Drummer influences are Danny Seraphine (Chicago), Bobby Colomby (Blood, Sweat & Tears) Ed Shaughnessy (Tonight Show with Doc & Johnny), Buddy Rich, Louie Bellson & many more...
