I was excited to have Robert & the Renaissance Band perform for our corporate cocktail reception last week. I communicated with their band manager during the planning process and he was prompt in his email responses whenever I had an update or question about the gig. The day of our reception, they arrived on time 1hr/45mins before our cocktail at 5pm, but for some odd reason, they did not fully start performing until 40mins into the reception. Despite this delay, Robert and the Band put on a nice performance and set the mood for our rooftop reception.
Highly recommend! Will use again in future! Nice soft jazz and great vocals!

I hired Robert Nelson and the Renaissance Band to perform at my mother's 60th Harlem Nights themed Bash, and they were excellent! Everyone loved them. Working with Norman the manager to get everything ready for the big day was great. He was very responsive, professional, and handled every song I had on my playlist. I can't say enough about how great everything was from start to finish. Will definitely be working with them again! Highly recommend!

Robert Nelson and the Renaissance Band did such a fabulous job in helping us create a lovely environment for our parents 40th anniversary! They played and sang the best classic love songs and even some of our own request! They helped our parents feel the love we wanted to express! Do yourself and your guest a favor and book them!

This band, right from the get go, was responsive and professional. We booked them for a medical conference reception and we received multiple compliments. In short, they made us look great. Musicianship was stellar. They dig a great job reading the room, and building the energy over the course of the evening. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We had the pleasure of Having the band at a family surprise party. We couldn’t have been happier that we picked them for the event. They were very professional and amazing band to entertain the guests. At one point, they took requests from the guests and they delivered. Having them at the party definitely added life to the party and got the guests out on the dance floor.
We requested songs from various genres; they played and sang exceptionally well. If you’re looking for a band to hire, I highly recommend Robert Nelson and the Renaissance Band. Norman was easy to work with and followed-up ahead of time to ensure that the desired playlist was set including the breaks.
I would book them again for my next party!
We had Phillip Graves bless our elementary school at the end of February with a wonderful performance that showcased the history of jazz and blues music and African American influence in all of music history for our Black History Month celebration. It was an absolute pleasure working with Robert Nelson and Phillip Graves and can't wait for another opportunity to have them in our school!

The Robert Nelson and Renaissance Band performed at my husbands retirement party. Working with them has been such a pleasure. They should up 3 hours early to set up, they started playing promptly at the agreed upon time, the music was phenomenal and Robert’s voice was like silk! I was not expecting such an awesome band!! Everything was perfect!! We ended up having a very small crowd but they performed as if hundreds of people were there!! They performed a range of songs to keep the crowd going of all ages ranges!! The vocals from Mr. Robert Nelson were spectacular!!! I can't remember the female vocalist name but she was fantastic!!! All the band members played wonderful!! Sax, guitar, keyboards and drums was awesome!! They were on time, friendly, and extremely professional!! Everyone absolutely enjoyed them!! Will definitely be using this band again!!!
