The Elizabeth Street Jazz Collective is a vibrant startup jazz band formed in April 2026 by talented undergraduate music students at Ohio Wesleyan University. We are dedicated to bringing the rich sounds of jazz music to audiences throughout Columbus, Ohio. Our mission to create memorable and unforgettable live music experiences that resonate with listeners. Join us as we share passion for jazz and elevate your musical journey!

Elizabeth Street Jazz Collective is a flexible, professional jazz ensemble suitable for weddings, cocktail hours, private events, corporate events, and other gatherings.

Performance Space:
A clean, level performance area appropriate for the size of the ensemble.
Access to the performance area for setup and breakdown.
Indoor or outdoor performances are possible, provided the instruments, equipment, and musicians are protected from rain, excessive heat, and other unsafe weather conditions.

Sound:
For smaller, intimate events, the ensemble can perform acoustically or with minimal amplification when appropriate.
For larger venues or events with significant background noise, a PA/sound system with appropriate microphones and speakers is preferred.
If the venue provides sound equipment, the venue should provide adequate inputs, microphones, stands, speakers, and a sound operator when necessary.
The ensemble can coordinate with venue staff or an event's professional sound technician regarding setup and soundcheck.

Power:
Standard electrical access near the performance area may be required when amplification or electronic instruments are used.
Any required extension cords or power distribution Will be safely secured and kept out of guest walkways.

Lighting:
No specialized lighting is required.
Standard venue lighting is sufficient.
For evening outdoor performances, adequate lighting of the performance area and music stands is appreciated.

Setup & Breakdown:
Please allow approximately 30–45 minutes for setup and 15–30 minutes for breakdown, depending on ensemble size and the venue's equipment.
The performance area should be accessible before the scheduled start time to allow for setup and soundcheck.

Additional Considerations:
The ensemble should be protected from direct sunlight, rain, snow, and extreme temperatures during outdoor performances.
A nearby secure area for instrument cases and personal belongings is appreciated.
Parking or reasonably close load-in access is helpful, particularly for larger ensembles and events requiring amplification.

Specific technical requirements can be discussed with the ensemble prior to the event based on the venue, ensemble size, and performance needs.
