Hello! I am a singer and guitarist available to be hired as a solo, duo or trio/band for private parties, weddings and special/corporate events. I have over 25 years performing experience in the music industry including several tours across Canada as well as recent performances in Nashville and Los Angeles.
I am connected to many incredible musicians that can be hired with me for your event or I am happy to come and entertain your guests as a solo performer as well. I have a very warm acoustic and vocal style and I very much look forward to playing for your event. Please check out my website for my music, credits, testimonials and more information. Thank you so much!
I only have special words to state about Robbie. In short, he changed my life with his gift of music and un-ending support of local artists. I've been writing for a long time but only recently have I actually moved forward in huge ways with confidence and direction. Robbie is such a blessed person with his ability to feel another artists purpose.... hope... and direction. I consider him a gift that stepped into my life while singing one night at an open mic. Fate? Destiny? I don't know. I do know if you decide to go in studio or attend one of his music seminar gatherings. You will be respected and heard. Finally... from my interactions, I can say what an awesome composer / songwriter he is. Robbie listened to me. Seen my vision. And put purpose into me as a songwriter. If you get an opportunity to record or just chat with him.... do so. In Victoria you will not find a better person. A better natural talent. Thanks Robbie. I know we will continue our musical journey. God Bless.
Response from Robbie Hancock:
Thank you so much for the kind words Troy. It has been a pleasure working with you.
Sorry this took so long, Robbie - got lost in my emails Although I wasn't vending at the market for the day, I heard good feedback. Excellent sound for the venue, appropriate music, positive and promotion banter between songs. Appreciated that you mentioned vendors by name to highlight what they offer. Always liked the up beat type of songs, they go over better than slow and gentle ones. Although people liked the between song chatter - don't go on for too long.
Sorry i wasn't there to hear your whole performance but these are the comments I got. Definitely positive and looking forward to having you again.
Response from Robbie Hancock:
Thanks so much for the review and feedback Sheila! I look forward to coming back to perform for you again soon!
Price Range: $250 - $5000
Gig Length: 45 - 250 minutes
What to Expect
I am there for you and for your clients first. I can perform some originals but only if you are ok with it. I am there to do the job and make sure everyone has a good time with support. Your guests are the star not me, I take the humble approach to this. So please tell me what you need.
I typically offer 3x45 minute sets in a 3 or 4 hour time period with breaks. I can do it in other times you request as well with longer breaks so each set matches each section of your event. I can also be hired for an additional set for an extra fee.
For casual/corporate/dinner functions
Songs and instrumentals will be appropriate to the 3 times you need it. So for example I would play background casual for the cocktail party, quiet support through dinner supporting conversations and then picking things up a bit after dinner for the last set. I also would be happy to just play guitar as an instrumentalist if you prefer.
I can be hired as a solo, duo, trio up to a full band depending on what you need. Acoustic instruments or bass, drums and lead. Weddings, corporate events, private parties I am very familiar with and have lots of experience in many areas of this business as a live performer. I am very good at reading the room to suit the needs of your clients.

He is also passionate about paying it forward as much as possible to up and coming songwriters and artists through mentoring, workshops and events.
Robbie says: "Music is an incredible gift that I am thankful to be able to share with others in hopes that it brings joy to their lives, as much as it has my own."
Additional Booking Notes
I come with a full PA system that can accommodate very small rooms and spaces and up to about 500 person seat functions and venues like weddings, private parties and corporate events. If you have a bigger event I know some amazing sound guys with gear that can be hired with me and my team.
I own 2 brand new NX10C powered speakers and a brand new Behringer Xenyx 1204 USB. Shure 58's and lots of back up cables, stands and mics. I own two high end guitars, a Taylor T5 and a Gibson J45. I also use 3 boss pedals when I perform, a tuner pedal, a delay pedal (which I use sparsely) and a loop station. The loop station allows me to record and perform several parts to emulate another guitarist without having to bring one along sometimes. It is a handy option.
All I need from you is a solid power source and shelter if it is outside.
