Overview
I play instrumental music for Art Galleries, Wine Tastings, and other events. Since I perform solo piano keyboard, I don't take up much space, but deliver a lot of music. This is mostly background music for events, mellow and pleasant. Mostly Jazz but also some Latin, Americana, Easy Listening and Blues. I have links to my music and song list upon request.

We were truly delighted by the performance of Rob at our very first dinner party for a new senior living community. His music created a warm, joyful atmosphere that resonated with everyone in attendance. The residents couldn't stop talking about how much they enjoyed the evening, and it was clear that the music made a memorable impact. We are grateful for Rob’s contribution to making this event a resounding success and look forward to inviting him back for future gatherings.

About
Demonstrating a unique blend of technology and music, Rob performs a number of songs using looping technology and a single keyboard. The deluxe setup includes an acoustic vibraphone! This is visually interesting and exciting, while also rich in musical aural texture. My music will include World music from Cuba and Brazil, Jazz, and Classical as well as original songs influenced by African and Klezmer cultures. The music ranges in mood from ambient/mellow to very lively. Textures (instrument sounds) include lots of percussion (congas, bongos, frame drum, doumbek, tabla, shakers, etc.), mallet instruments (marimba, vibraphone and steel pan), keyboards (piano, electric pianos, clavinet), bass, guitar and horns (flute, clarinet, French horn, and trumpet).
I have been playing/performing for over 40 years in a wide variety of contexts. I graduated summa cum laude from Berklee College of Music in Boston MA., playing in many different musical situations, including cruise ships, nightclubs, hotels and restaurants. Accompanying dance classes and workshops, I’ve been employed at Colorado College, Reed College, Lewis & Clark college, and the Oregon Ballet Theater school. I was a member of local band 3 Leg Torso, which included a west coast tour opening for Pink Martini. As a staff member at Marylhurst University, I taught courses in percussion for Music Therapy students, another course in Improvisation, and directed the school’s Jazz Band.
Currently, I do looping performances 3 times weekly at PDX airport. I have 2 CD’s plus a USB drive with all my music and 14 video performances available

Influences and inspiration
I am inspired by the following artists: Ralph Towner, Reggie Watts, Snarky Puppy, Chick Corea, Michael Hedges, and Cal Tjader. Of course, there are so many more, but too many to list!
Setup requirements
I am a solo performer and don't require a lot of space, just about 6 square feet and electric power. Slightly larger if the deluxe setup including a vibraphone is desired.
Protection from the elements (sun, wind, rain, etc.) if the event is outdoors.
