If you’re looking for the most dazzling and wildly popular solo piano set in the Northwest, look no further! I specialize in beautiful, stunning arrangements of pop, rock and songwriter hits from the 1950s - Today, including some modern classical/film pieces. As all my past clients and people nationwide can attest, I take great care and pride in delivering unforgettable performances for special events and weddings. I play corporate events, public events, dinner parties, birthdays, wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours, and much more.
Included in every package is the option to build your own custom “playlists” in advance by combining songs from my setlist + a number of your own requests.

September 21, 2026A Cinematic Experience
My fiancé and I were looking for a pianist for our wedding cocktail hour, and her eyes lit up when she saw Josiah Austin on GigSalad, whom she recognized from performing at the Portland airport. We just had to book him and got really excited when he accepted our invitation.
Our guests loved hearing Josiah play. He knew so many hits that we had fun trying to recall. I especially appreciate him waiting to play our song requests, Beyoncé and Chet Baker, until we got back from our photoshoot. Our wedding was an amazing night, and he helped make it feel like a movie.
P.S. I screamed when he gifted us a copy of his album!!! We're totally gonna listen to it on our next roadtrip.

What to expect
I’m most sought out for my full sound, emotional performance style and my eclectic set of pop and rock covers (solo piano).
Generally, people hire me to play for wedding ceremonies, corporate events, cocktail hours, holidays, and various parties.
I can keep a low profile in a corner, or I can be front and center. It all depends on what your event requires.
When it comes to requests, it’s best to know what people will want to hear beforehand.
If it’s an impromptu request, I’ll play it if I know it. If I’ve never played it before, but I’ve heard it before, I can often figure it out quickly in a couple minutes.
Ultimately, impromptu requests are not guaranteed, but I will always give it a try!

Josiah Austin is a highly accomplished and versatile modern classical composer and pianist. He frequently performs an exciting and versatile set of solo piano pop and rock covers at the Portland Airport, Ilani Resort, and private and public events around the Portland/Vancouver metro area. His setlist includes songs by Guns 'N' Roses, Radiohead, David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Toto, ABBA, Elton John, The Beatles, Green Day, Nirvana, Simon and Garfunkel, Neil Diamond and many more.
He’s also known for his modern classical solo piano pieces- a mesmerizing blend of alluring melodies, lush harmonies, and elegant simplicity. With a strong focus on narrative, his works are characterized by delicate piano-centric compositions that occasionally incorporate electronic and orchestral elements, creating a truly unique and captivating musical experience.
Josiah lives in Vancouver, Washington with his wife, Heidi, and their two fluffy cats.
