Roarin' Raas

Roarin' Raas is a Raas/Garba team established at the University of Houston. Raas/Garba is a very upbeat style of dance originating from Northern India. In our first year we were very successful in our competitions across Texas. In our 2nd year, we aimed to take our team to the next level and took place in 8 competitions, at which we had 4 second places, and 2 first places! Our third year is where all our hard work payed off and Roarin Raas was crowned as the NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. Continuing on from your third year, we have reached the national championship 4 years in a row. Our sixth year, Roarin' Raas was ranked as the National Runner-Up.
