R. J. Pitie (formerly - Aries Ram: a born South African jazz creator & musician) is one such musician who blushes quite plenty when people talk about Smooth Jazz.

March 26, 2017All tracks make for a smooth, sensual and mellow feeling. Kind of makes me want to lie down and relax. Beats a boredom even when am on road travelling abroad. A must have.

Mix of smooth, African & Contemporary Jazz fused in symphonic portions. The stage is always heated...
On a mission to completing an EP, R. J. followed with Childhood which involves a touch of symphony - mixing symphony, jazz/smooth, chorale, contemporary urban sounds & hip-hop style - to yield 'Symphonic Urban Contempo'. Is it too much for your comprehension? Just term it Symphonic Jazz & never mind, but enjoy...!

I got my influence from my folks who raised me teaching me indigenous sounds, songs and rhythms. How I like it when one focuses on their own culture.
