I had the fortune of having Rick at our largest corporate event of the year. He was very professional from when I first posted that I was looking for a pianist all the way until the moment the event finished. He asked about the room specs prior to the event so he could bring the correct equipment. He arrived early to setup and was a delight to have in the space. I could not recommend him enough! He will be our to-go pianist for future events without a doubt.

Rick arrived in plenty of time, set up and was ready to play as guests arrived.
The dinner portion of our evening changed to an upstairs location, and Rick moved his whole system upstairs and continued to entertain.

About
Rick Maltese is from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is an accomplished pianist/composer/arranger and among his other skills he has been a college instructor and Web Developer. His music experience has included reaching a high level of classical, jazz, popular music and musical theatre. He has been a long-time coach, accompanist and composer/song-writer. He has played as both accompanist and soloist on the Holland America Cruise Lines (Rotterdam, Ryndam,Westerdam) and Band Leader on Cunard Seabourn Pride. Has also played for singers, ballet schools and has peformed and composed for modern dance companies, comedy troups, composed and acted as musical director and conductor for Musical Theatre and Choir settings.
He was Musical Director at the Royal York Hotel (Pipers) and was in charge of hiring and acted as both the coach and accompanist to the singing waiters and bar staff.
He is active as a recording musician and incorporates his skills as a multimedia artist in his web development projects. He is always busy learning the latest innovations.
He has accompanied operatic performers in classical recitals, played for the National Ballet School, played in jazz and rock bands and was Musical Director for shows like Godspell, I Do I Do, Cabaret, Jesus Christ Superstar, Oliver, Sound of Music and Anne of Green Gables.
