Rick Kauffeld Solo Acoustic
Overview
I am a long-time professional guitarist with experience in venues such as AC casinos, Jersey shore resort hotels, and major township stages. I draw from a long list of covers dating from modern music to the 50s in genres such as rock, pop, alternative, new wave, grunge, funk, and a little country. My live shows can be either as background ambiance or a more forward and energetic entertainment, specifically tailored to the needs of your event, so please reach out and let me know how we can best elevate your event.

What to expect
I offer one of two possible atmospheres when playing. The first is an energetic set built to entertain in which it is not unusual for audience members to sing along and dance. I am the center of attention and utilize that position in order to show the crowd a good time. The second is ambient background music, in which I will taper down the set to be a bit slower and quieter in order to provide more of a cocktail hour vibe.
About
I have been playing guitar and singing since I was 12, with early influences being from acts such as Santana, the Allman Brothers Band, and Cream. I have since then found myself constantly consuming new styles of music and building my repertoire around being a truly eclectic mix of legendary songs. In 2025 I decided to take a break from a career in sales and pour everything I am into building my act into what I believe is one of the most complete and skillfull musical acoustic acts in the greater Philadelphia area.
Additional booking notes
I gig typically utilizing a Bose speaker tower, Taylor 414ce Guitar, and microphone. I require only one 120V outlet. In much larger venues I also have duel 12" powered speakers, but this has minimal impact on my power needs.
