My repertoire is very diverse and has a huge range...Latin, Classical, Jazz, Rock, Pop, Contemporary, and Standards. I have performed at countless weddings, corporate events, and public events throughout my 40+ year career.

I’ve known Richard for decades and hired him for several events. Though the venues were always captivating he stands out as an exceptional piece of the meaningful experience.
Ability to read the audience along with the articulation of complicated and emotive guitar, stands out for me.

My husband and I first discovered Richard DeVinck while listening to him perform at venues throughout the Monterey Peninsula, including Pebble Beach and the Cypress Inn. We were immediately captivated by his soulful musicianship, especially his acoustic rendition of Led Zeppelin's music.
We knew we had found the musician for our wedding in Carmel Valley. As I walked through the garden aisle, Richard played Thank You, creating one of the most beautiful and unforgettable moments of my life. His music brought such warmth, emotion, and elegance to our ceremony that our family and friends still talk about it today.
Richard is an extraordinarily talented guitarist whose music has a way of touching your heart. I wholeheartedly recommend him for weddings, special events, or any venue looking for exceptional live music. He helped make one of the most meaningful days of our lives even more memorable, and we will always be grateful.

What to expect
Unlike most singer-guitarists, I let my guitar do the singing for me... what is commonly referred to as "fingerstyle." Although I was classically trained, my repertoire ranges from Albéniz to Zeppelin and covers most genres, including Classical, Jazz, Rock, Standards, and Latin. My audience and clients are often surprised at my full-sounding arrangements, which include all parts (melody, harmony, bass, and even percussion). I do not use a loop pedal (that would be "cheating" ; )

For many of my performances, I use battery-powered amplification. It allows me to play at any location - beach, picnic area...anywhere! If you have a 4' x 4' area for me to perform, we are good.
