Rich Murray
Overview
Lifelong performer on multiple instruments w/ vocals featuring a wide variety of musical styles. I like to do solo acoustic shows, but I can also offer a full band sound using studio recorded bass & drum tracks for a danceable club vibe without the expense. I can provide a full band, but I'm really seeking solo bookings through this page. I am family friendly. I am flexible to scale up or down depending on event budget. You can hear some of my original music online, but I mostly perform popular cover songs including classic rock, classic country, blues standards & current hits from all of the above genres. Private / Corporate Parties, Fairs, Festivals & Regional Clubs will all be considered.

What to expect
I am like a chameleon. I can adapt to the theme of your event as needed. I've worked with all walks of life in this musical journey. First impression may imply I'm a country artist; however, my first record deal was with blues label, and my main song catalog leans toward classic rock, while still hitting the country standards. I will look forward to helping you make your event a success. I can also provide break music between sets, as well as effect lighting depending on desired atmosphere and overall budget. I am very prompt and dependable from the booking stage to the performance stage. Rates range from acoustic & vocal without sound system to full band with full p.a. & lights. This leaves a lot of room for all scenarios in between, including me playing with bass & drum tracks to create a full band sound without the extra overhead. "I will work with you on all details."

Influences and inspiration
I'm a die-hard Bob Seger fan, as his songwriting and performance level was always intriguing to me. Outside of that, on the country side, ( discovered later in life ) I'd say Waylon & Willie are at the top of my list. I'd be a hard-core bluesman if it was feasible in today's market, but right now it's not. On that spectrum, Johnny Winter & Eric Clapton have influenced my electric lead work. Today's favorites would be Chris Stapleton & Tyler Childers.
Setup requirements
I can price the event with or without equipment. If your venue already has a sound system, we can adjust the rates as such.
