I will touch base with you, either meeting in person or by phone or email. I will share basic ceremony options with you and guide you in writing your own vows. I use a few questions to get to know your tale and incorporate it in your ceremony. I provide checklists for rituals requiring props, I know you have tons of things to remember. I work hard at making at least the ceremony stress free.

I will direct your rehearsal, if contracted for that, making sure everyone knows their role and feels comfortable. If you'd rather, I can write a descriptive script, which someone NOT in the wedding party can use to direct a rehearsal.

I will make you comfortable with choosing me. There are seldom absolutely perfect weddings, I have learned how to head off major disasters, and convert them into minor giggles. Let's have fun!

I have been joining couples in marriage for over a decade. I will be honest and say it puts a few extra dollars in the bank, but I truly love doing this. For many years I worked in a field which I loved. It, however, didn't give me much of a chance to write, something I dearly love. It also was a fairly solitary job and I love people!

I started by performing my eldest daughter's wedding, a full blown Celtic Hand Fasting. There were swords, smoke and lots of props. It really wasn't a good first job for a beginning officiant, but it rekindled my love of theater. I was hooked and spent a few years honing my craft gifting ceremonies for friends and family. I developed a style which is easy going and personal.

Some of my past clients call me the painless officiant because I do my best to make sure everything about their ceremony goes smoothly. I have even been known to hold babies, fix a stray strap, even wrangle the occasional stray flower girl. I want your day to be memorable, in a good way.
My goal is to make it easy for you to have a personal ceremony. You share some details about your life together and why you are taking this step. I take those and write a condensed love story, making it truly your ceremony.

I used to spend my week playing with huge mowers, tractors, even the occasional bulldozer. I was also the Audubon Society coordinator for our golf course's sanctuary project. So, I guess I am the product of a combination of the white collar and blue collar world. I might be conversing on art and literature one minute and be under the hood of a vintage car the next.

I need your feedback on ceremony sections, readings, rituals and answers to the questions in my possession at least a week before the ceremony. This will allow me to get a draft to you for approval.

At the venue, I will require good lighting for reading the ceremony. I need to know who I need to contact when I arrive at the venue.
