Founded in 1977, Redhot & Blue is Yale's first mixed gender a cappella group. Our 18 singers perform a blend of jazz classics from around the world as well as more modern renditions. Yale University has a rich history of a cappella, and Redhot & Blue is proud to be a trailblazer in the inclusion of women in a cappella performance, and to have a unique sound that has brought us to the stages of the Kennedy Center and the Beijing Conservatory in recent years. We typically perform 30-90 minute sets but are very flexible to our hosts wishes; we can integrate audience participation or even provide vocal jazz workshops for audiences who would like to sing with us.
