His ability as a guitarist added much to the ambience, and his skills in slack key, instrumental guitar, and knowledge of jazz standards were a welcome addition to our event! March 27, 2022As a Jazz musician myself (pianist), I can’t express in only words how impressed I was with Ravi’s talent and accommodations to fulfilling our playlist requests for our company event. You’ll need to just hear him play for yourself!
That said, at a high-level, Ravi is very consistent in playing Jazz tunes and covering all of the real book classics on demand, while also having the flexibility to play his own originals. He really fits into the evening ambience and I would recommend him for any event from black tie to casual. He’s also very reasonable and competitive with his rates.
Ravi’s Berkeley school of music chops are the real deal. As a client and fellow musician I would highly recommend his services. I’ve personally recommended him to other folks and they were also very happy with his performance and services. We will definitely work with him again in the future.

I would recommend him to anyone looking to add an musical atmosphere to their wedding/event. His playing mixed with the ocean and landscapes created a beautiful memory I’ll never forget !!

Ravi Lamb is an instrumental guitarist adding a very warm and welcoming ambiance to any occasion. He works directly with the client, accommodating any requests and crafting a set-list that is suitable for the event.
Ravi is an experienced guitarist, playing in many different settings and styles available for hire on Oahu and the Big Island, from Waikiki to Kailua Kona Hawaii. Depending on your taste, he can provide that authentic Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar sound for any island-themed event, a mellow dinner jazz ambiance, or a more lively contemporary set playing instrumental versions of modern hits with use of live loop pedal.
Ravi Lamb, born and raised in Hawaii, is an active performer and educator on Oahu and the Big Island, occasionally making appearances on the West Coast. Starting with the ukulele and taking to the guitar in adolescence, he has been playing and teaching music for much of his life. Attended Berklee College of Music in Boston where he studied/worked as a tutor specializing in music theory and composition and earned a BA in Professional Music. After Boston, Ravi luckily found himself a home in the artist hub of Santa Cruz, CA where he taught private music lessons based in a downtown studio. In 2019, he earned the award of "Best Music Instructor" from the 'Best of City of Santa Cruz'. During his time on the West Coast, Ravi spent 3 years working at the acclaimed Oakland School for the Arts as an instructor in the Instrumental Music Dept. as well as teaching classes in the city of Capitola. Since moving back to the islands, Ravi has revived his study of traditional Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar styles while still keeping his contemporary music production alive. Ravi currently is a Performer specializing in Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar and Jazz, available for hire in Oahu and the Big Island from Waikiki to Kailua Kona. He often performs at Weddings, Birthdays, Private Events, and Casual Parties.
When he is not spending time with 'ohana or playing music, Ravi works on his homestead to cultivate sustainable food crops as well as protecting the native forest and wildlife that Hawaii is blessed with.
Ravi requires access to a standard electrical outlet within 2ft of performance location and shade or rain cover if outdoors.
