Overview
Neil Diamond Review.
Not an Impersonation but an Interpretation.
Would you like Neil for your next event?
Maybe his voice?
How about this...
Close your eyes, listen, and believe!
I am JR LaPorte, and I have been told for so long that I sound like the legendary Neil Diamond that I finally decided to market my talent. No, I do not look like Neil. And the only illusion I intend to present is in your mind's eye. So if you're a diehard Neil Diamond fan, and you would like a bit of his essence at your next event. I would be very happy to bring that to you and your guests.

John R.
March 28, 2022Better than a tribute artist.
His catch phrase "Not an Impersonation, but an Interpretation", sums up his show quite nicely. On many of his numbers he shares a bit of history, and/or knowledge of the song, thereby providing the audience with a little better insight to what the lyrics are supposed to convey; and has an talent to present each as we remember them. With the slightest use of eye-contact, he can collectively pull the audience in to each selection and make each member believe he's singing only to them. Finally. Does he sound like the legendary Neil Diamond? Go listen for yourself. then comeback to write your review.

What to expect
Better to say what "NOT" to expect. While many say I sound like Neil Diamond, I don't look like him nor do I attempt to. As you see me in my promo and my pictures. No illusions except for the one I plan to project to your mind's eye.
