Fidel 2point0, Born William Lofton, is a West Coast Hip Hop Artist originally from the South, Arkansas to be exact. Fidel moved with his family to Southern California when he was a young child and has resided in the Los Angeles and Riverside Counties since then. Fidel loved to write lyrics and rap even before he reached middle school. For a short period of time Fidel was part of a young group where he got his first experience performing on stage and winning over crowds.
During Fidel 2Point0’s high school years his family relocated to the Inland Empire where he began collaborating with other Artists and building a fanbase. Fidel ended up taking a hiatus as an Artist to care for his newborn son.
Years later, Fidel found an ad online calling for a promoter to work with an up & coming R&B/Pop group called "Heiress", so he answered. He ended up pinning some verses that landed on the album, "From Heiress with Love", alongside Toma "Maskerade" Johnson. Maskerade and Fidel then went on to record a (link hidden) chart topper, "Round and Round". That experience and credit put Fidel back on the musical radar. His ranking locally has risen since posting to sites like reverbnation and soundcloud. In addition to that, Fidel has had a few venue performances to gauge crowd reaction and work on his stage presence around Southern California.
Fidel began purchasing his own gear and software and began composing and producing his own music with a great number of clean tracks in his catalogue. Fidel draws from many influences but hardly uses samples. He smiles and says, "You have to pay to clear samples! Why?, when you can come up with an original that sounds just as good!"
In 2013 Fidel 2Point0 hit the stage again, this time performing “Round and Round” at ACES Comedy Club in Murrieta, CA, in between comedic sets by Karlos Kremer, Ms. Arkansas, Comediane and more. Also in 2013 Fidel performed at The Comedy Palace in San Diego, CA.
Fidel has more recently performed at Rain Nightclub in Studio City, CA, Coach’s Bar/Grill in Hawthorne, CA, and Bombay Club with Spice 1 in Anaheim, CA. In addition to show performances Fidel has also been to in Studio radio interviews on DaRadio Show KCAA 1580AM and NBC/CNBC affiliate Cali’s Best Radio show with Lashaun Turner aka Lady Impress 102.3fm, 106.5fm, and KCAA 1050AM. Fidel was featured on Nonstop Radio NYC top ten countdown and had a on air phone interview with Host/President Emilio Egbar. In August 2017, Fidel’s song “We’re Laughin” was featured on Celebrity/Indie Hip Hop TXL’s Mixtape vol 94. Fidel has also released music on Spinrilla “Like This” and his song “Justice or Else” was supported by Mr. Tony Mohammed who is an avid advocate against injustices in the black community. Fidel’s song “Justice or Else” has not only been played on the radio but it was shared via twitter by a popular mainstream Southern California radio station Real 92.3FM, just to name a few. More recently Fidel 2Point0 released his Mixtape “GOLDMIND” September 4, 2018.
Fidel is currently continuing to build a fan base, writing/producing relevant music and seeking features for upcoming album releases.
