What to expect

When you book Rapha, expect more than someone standing behind a microphone reading poetry. You’re getting a dynamic spoken word performance built around rhythm, storytelling, emotion, humor, audience connection, and memorable wordplay.

Rapha’s performances can move from making an audience laugh to making them think, reflect, and feel—all within the same set. His material explores relationships, love, spirituality, personal growth, healing, sensuality, everyday life, and the human experience, delivered with the rhythmic energy and lyrical precision of hip-hop.

Every performance can be tailored to the atmosphere and audience. Whether your event calls for something clean and inspirational, romantic and soulful, humorous and high-energy, emotionally powerful, spiritually reflective, or more mature and sensual, Rapha can build a set that fits the room.

Clients can book Rapha for individual poems or curated spoken word sets for showcases, celebrations, private events, cultural and community programs, corporate events, workshops, and other live experiences.

Most importantly, audiences can expect authenticity. Rapha doesn’t simply recite his work—he performs it through vocal dynamics, timing, movement, imagery, and connection with the room.

The goal is simple: make them laugh, make them think, make them feel, and give them something worth talking about after the microphone goes quiet.

About

Rapha — Spoken Word Artist | Poet | Author

Rapha is a Las Vegas–based spoken word artist, poet, and author known for lyrical precision, emotional depth, rhythmic delivery, and commanding stage presence.

Blending the lyricism of hip-hop with storytelling, spirituality, relationships, humor, healing, and raw life experience, Rapha creates performances designed to make audiences feel as much as they think. His work moves between introspective poetry, intricate wordplay, relatable relationship pieces, uplifting messages, sensual storytelling, humor, and powerful moments of human connection.

Rapha’s performance experience extends beyond Las Vegas, with appearances throughout Nevada, Arizona, California, and Georgia. He has been a featured poet with Spotlight Poetry in Las Vegas, with additional performances including Right About Now in Arizona, Poetry Lounge in Los Angeles, Poetry Pho Tha Soul at Who Wanna Pho in Atlanta, and AREA15 in Las Vegas. He has also performed in connection with 88.1 FM and at The Center in Las Vegas, including a performance aired on local television.

Rapha has shared stages with Geronimo Speaks, Cloud Nine, and Grammy Award-winning musician and producer Keith Harris. He is also a member of the Living Room Poetry collective in Las Vegas while continuing to establish his independent career and body of work as a spoken word artist and author.

What separates Rapha’s performances is versatility. His material can be tailored to the room, whether an event calls for something inspirational and uplifting, romantic and soulful, humorous and engaging, spiritually reflective, emotionally vulnerable, sensual, or simply entertaining. Through rhythm, vocal dynamics, imagery, movement, and intentional delivery, Rapha approaches spoken word as something to be experienced rather than simply heard.

Beyond the stage, Rapha’s work explores emotional awareness, relationships, personal growth, spirituality, healing, and the ways our lived experiences shape who we become. His goal is to transform those experiences into art that connects with people without preaching at them.

Rapha is available for poetry showcases, festivals, private events, community and cultural programs, celebrations, workshops, corporate and organizational events, and other live experiences seeking an engaging and memorable spoken word performance.

Whether performing for an intimate room or a larger audience, Rapha brings the same intention to the microphone: make them laugh, make them think, make them feel—and leave them with something worth remembering after the poem ends.

Additional booking notes

Rapha’s technical requirements are minimal and can be adapted to the venue.

For intimate indoor spaces with low ceilings and natural acoustics, amplification may not be necessary. Rapha is trained to project his voice and can perform without a microphone when appropriate for the room.

For larger, open spaces, high-ceiling venues, outdoor events, or larger audiences, a quality microphone and PA/sound system are recommended.

If a performance includes music or backing audio, access to the venue’s sound system or an appropriate audio connection is preferred.

No specialized staging or lighting is required. However, a well-lit performance area is greatly appreciated, particularly in darker venues, as it allows for clear, high-quality photo and video recording of the performance.

Technical needs can be coordinated with the client based on the size, acoustics, and setup of the venue.
