Randy Ruffin Is A True Legend!

Randy Ruffin was absolutely incredible! His voice, energy, and stage presence were outstanding and truly made our community event, A Tribute to the Legends, unforgettable. Randy captured the spirit of every artist he honored. Professional, talented, and a joy to work with — we would welcome him back anytime!

60th Surprise Birthday Party

There aren't enough stars or words to describe Randy and my experience with him. I felt like we were old friends from the minute he contacted me to play at my husband's 60th Surprise Party. He was kind & caring about every detail & conscious of exactly what I wanted. He contacted me several times before so he knew about the venue & asked for a picture of where he would be setting up before he arrived. A true professional & a even more true gentleman. He arrived an hour before his time to set up & take care of every detail. The minute we arrived Randy had the party started & set the tone for a fun night!! We danced all night long & sang along with him which wasn't great but Randy didnt seem to mind at all. His voice and all around vibe is amazing but his personality is what gets you. A true kind sweet genuine person who everyone fell in love with!! My guests all loved him, my husband had the night of his life which he said he will never forget & I gained a friend!! Thank you Randy my new friend & I mean that Sincerely from the bottom of my heart!

Randy was a big hit

Randy is a total professional in every aspect. Although it was my first experience with Randy it was like we were old friends that hadn’t seen each other for sometime. Randy’s talent was obvious from his first song however to connect with the audience the way he did only exemplified his professionalism and personality. A total pleasure, s total talent, s total gentlemen and all that were present for this experience were totally happy and awed.
Thanks Randy from the IHOC family.

Randy Ruffin - Tribute To The Legends

To, say that I had a great time entertaining this group would be an understatement. To support this fundraiser and the great work this IHOC organization is doing with its supportive housing program for the homeless, was an absolute pleasure! I felt right at home with everyone in the room as they showed great appreciation for the music selection and we had a great time singing and dancing together! I would do it every year if they asked me to! Big shout out and thank you to Chas Van Horn and Ruth Morganroth for having me participate in their fundraiser!

What to expect

There is a clear distinction between a Randy Ruffin show and my performance that differentiates me from all other performers. I am up close and personal with audiences as I perform I always bring them into the experience. I shake hands, kneel, and sing to audience members.

I often dance with a few people in attendance.
I smile and touch people throughout my performance. I talk and engage with my audiences about the days of old and the memories that come with the music selection I sing.

I listen to the memories of people with the songs they find dear to them, like where they were when a particular song came out, who they were in love with, or that this song is connected to their first date, high school graduation, or wedding song.

About

Growing up in the musical era of the 60s, surrounded by local Philadelphia artists in his west Philadelphia neighborhood who were associated with what would soon turn out to be the renowned (Philadelphia International Records) label, gave him the wherewithal to begin training his musical voice and love for music as a young child, which ignited his love affair with the stage.

His laidback yet bubbly personality and bright resident baritone and second tenor vocals have evoked comparisons to several of his major influences, including Marvin Gaye, David Ruffin, and Paul Williams of The Temptations, Levi Stubbs, of The Four Tops, The Spinners, Bill Whiters, Harold Melvin, The O’Jays’s - Walter Williams, Lou Rawls, Sam Cook, Donnie Hathaway, Nat King Cole and countless others. However, his gifted stylistic voice and sound are credited to his special vocal dexterity and clarity in translating and delivering lyrics like no other artist.

Discovered and signed by (Society Hill) records label Randy has released his first single cover song titled (Walk Away from Love) in 2024 and his most recent EP” release with its lead song of the same title “You Sure Love to Ball,” a Marvin Gaye classic in 2025 has made a big mark on the music scene and has created a delightful buzz from its worldwide release. Included on this new EP”, titled "YOU SURE LOVE TO BALL" is a remake of the hit song “THE WARMTH OF YOU” which resonates from a remake of a "Will Downing" hit record that is sensually and beautifully reimagined as a duet.

Also, an incredible version of the hit song from the 1950s classic movie (South Pacific), originally written and composed by Rodgers and Hammerstein, entitled
"SOME ENCHANTED EVENING." To top off this new and exciting EP (album) is an original song penned by the late Johnny Ingram, a super-talented legend who, among others, sang with the legendary Funk Brothers on their Motown documentary tour and was an anchor for the famous Ingram Brothers. The song is entitled " BABY I'M YOURS," which was the warmest pleasure to record in his memory! Currently, Randy is in the studio working on the release of another incredible project, with a street date at the end of 2025, as he continues to create and deliver new relevant material.

Now as a seasoned vocalist and, entertainer Randy has performed up and down the east coast from Atlantic City, N.J., to Maryland, New York City and of course within the Philadelphia’s surrounding area for over 10 years at various music events indoors and outdoors, night clubs, supper clubs, LIVE Casino, live FM radio broadcasts performances, private events, Lodges, and not to mention upscale senior living facilities as a way to give back for what he’s been so blessed to do.
