Rachel Pritchett Piano

Imagine a classical easy listening setlist or lush harmonies from jazz’s greatest hits. In the wintertime, familiar holiday tunes of all styles flow from the piano. I have also had wedding couples request hymns and pop tunes so that is something I am very comfortable with! My greatest joy is to set the appropriate mood suited to your taste and make people smile. I love the reactions I get when I play an especially well-loved song. I am also open to learning new music based on difficulty, my availability, and notice. Right now I am working on a Barbie set! I have a Yamaha cp300 keyboard that I can bring if there is no piano and I will come to the event wearing black unless there is a specific request. I will travel outside the metro such as Ponca City or Tulsa for a fee.

I started playing piano from a young age and got into the wedding scene at 15 when I played for my sister’s wedding prelude! This all led me to study piano at SNU where I received my bachelor’s and I went on to graduate school at OCU, earning my master’s in piano performance. During my school years I played for voice lessons and people took notice of my skill, but I wasn’t quite convinced that’s what I wanted to do, but eventually I realized it was really fun and provided steady income, so I stayed at school a little bit longer for a master’s in vocal coaching at OCU. Playing for lessons exposed me to pop, musical theatre, and great American songbook which quickly became some of my favorite music. I am grateful for this experience that has allowed me to provide all kinds of music to my clients. I love bringing joy to people and playing especially well-loved or personal songs!

I have a full-size, high-quality keyboard, music stand, and portable bench that I can bring for outdoor wedding ceremonies or if the venue does not have a piano. Assistance is required and it has onboard speakers, but I am in the process of acquiring external speakers.
